Wake up early and visit the amazing Poás Volcano. Upwards to the volcano, we will pass by coffee, fern, flower and strawberry plantations.
When arriving at the Poás Volcano National Park you will have plenty of time to admire the impressive blue crater, take pictures and relax. Later, you will walk along the path that leads to the beautiful Botos Lagoon, an amazingly peaceful lagoon surrounded by rich green vegetation. Overnight in San José.
In the early morning, the staff from your lodge in Tortuguero will pick you up at your hotel in San José to start the journey to the Caribbean side of the country. This beautiful Caribbean coast is home to the cozy Tortuguero town, only accessible by small boats crossing squiggly waters, making it already a very adventurous and unique experience just getting there. You will find yourself in between the Afro-Caribbean community where you have the great opportunity to enjoy the relaxed lifestyle and delicious seafood plates. Tortuguero is also an important nesting ground for turtles. Your lodge is located at the stunning Tortuguero canal.
The National Park of Tortuguero is a beautiful varied park in the middle of the rainforest, where you can find amazing flora and fauna. Very popular are the canals flowing right through the park, where crocodile families enjoying nice sunbaths. Today you will discover these canals and enjoy the great variety of wildlife surrounding you.
La Fortuna is the name of the town where you can find the impressive Arenal volcano, one of the most popular volcanoes of Costa Rica. The volcano rises above the treetops of the rainforest and has a beautiful cone shape, making it very photogenic. Several optional excursions are available.
This morning we get up early to visit La Fortuna Waterfall, one of the highlights of this area. Water falls down into the natural bath from 230 feet height, a beautiful sight.
In the National Park, you will make great hikes on the volcano flanks. During the hike, you will have the chance to enjoy the beautiful landscape from bird view.
At the foot of the giant volcano, you will find the hot springs and thermal baths of Baldí where you can relax to the fullest.
After breakfast, you will start your journey to the misty, green cloud forest of Monteverde. People describe this place as a fairy forest, often covered in a mysterious haze and consisting of the most beautiful tree species. You are located in an area of gardens where ferns, orchids, bromeliads and bright green mosses circle you. A real nature paradise, perfect for a hike.
Today´s tour consists of a 3 km trail that crosses through the Monteverde Cloud Forest. You will walk on eight different hanging bridges with various lengths ranging between 50 and 170 meters and altitudes ranging between 12 and 60 meters. Each bridge has a width of five feet, making them the widest bridges in Costa Rica, and the longest and strongest bridge systems in the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Manuel Antonio is located just a 15-minute drive from the attractive town of Quepos. Here you will find nice little shops, restaurants, cafés, all at the top of the Pacific mountains. When driving down, you will arrive at the beach of Manuel Antonio- Playa Espadilla, a very beautiful sandy beach with a calm, warm sea to enjoy a lovely swim. Afterwards, hike to the National Park.
During your hike through the park, you have a great chance to spot monkeys like the white-faced monkeys, as well as the Costa Rican squirrel monkey. The park also has some amazing, moon-shaped beaches, which are perfect to relax on.
After an unforgettable journey visiting the most interesting places in Costa Rica, it is now time to go back to San José.

All tours on Faralong.com include accommodation, local transport (excluding airport transfers if not stated otherwise), meals as specified, English speaking guide and all entrance fees.

The final cost of the tour is determined 45 days before departure when the group is automatically closed. Until that point, in case of vacancies, it is possible to join the group and, therefore, lower the cost for everyone.
